Civil War re-enactmentscheduled in Canfield
CANFIELD -- The Masonic Lodge at Argus Park will host a Civil War re-enactment from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the park's site off Shields Road.
Members of the 105th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Confederate soldier re-enactors and period craftspeople will demonstrate life on and around Civil War battlefields by handling muskets, cooking over open fires, sleeping in military tents and conducting battle re-enactments.
Activities scheduled during the public event include pie-baking demonstrations, battlefield tactics, live cannon demonstrations and a ladies' tea.
