AUTO RACING Barrichello wins British Grand Prix race

After starting from the pole, he had to rally for the victory.
SILVERSTONE, England (AP) -- Rubens Barrichello's first victory of the season had a familiar and bizarre twist.
The Ferrari driver started from the pole, fell back, and rallied to win the British Grand Prix on Sunday, ending the recent dominance of Williams-BMW in a race that was disrupted on the 12th lap when a man ran onto the track.
Barrichello, who three years ago won German Grand Prix after a protester walked on the track, finished 5.4 seconds ahead of Juan Pablo Montoya of Williams-BMW.
Spectator on course
On Sunday, drivers were forced to swerve around the unidentified man, who was wearing a kilt and carrying a sign.
The man jogged toward a high-speed corner and was on the track for approximately 20 seconds before being dragged off by security guards.
Police said the 56-year-old man from County Kerry, Ireland, would be charged with aggravated trespass.
The sport's governing body, International Automobile Federation, refused to comment on whether the race results were affected by the man.
"The FIA observer is going to file a report and we will look at matter once the process has been completed," an FIA spokesman said. "We will look at the matter once we have all the information."
Sixth career win
Barrichello became the seventh winner in 11 Formula One races this season. The win was the sixth of his career and first since the U. S. Grand Prix in September when teammate Michael Schumacher slowed to give him the victory.
Barrichello had tears in his eyes on the podium.
"It always very hard to listen to the Brazilian anthem and not cry," Barrichello said. "When I am on the podium in first place, I still remember my father who sold his car so I could start racing."
Montoya finished second for the third straight race, and Kimi Raikkonen was third in a McLaren-Mercedes.
Schumacher was fourth and saw his lead over Raikkonen slip to seven points, 69-62, with five races left. Montoya is third with 55 points.
"Fourth is not too bad considering what happened, and in terms of the championship, my lead over Kimi has only been reduced by one point," Schumacher said.
David Coulthard of McLaren-Mercedes and Jarno Trulli of Renault were fifth and sixth, respectively.
Toyota's Cristiano DaMatta was seventh, and Ralf Schumacher, who won the last two races, was ninth behind Jenson Button of BAR-Honda.
When the man ran onto the track, the safety car was brought out, and nearly the entire field was brought to the pits, causing a shake up in the standings.
DaMatta had already pitted and moved from 15th to first.
Michael Schumacher was stuck behind Barrichello in the crowded pit.
"Waiting in the pit lane behind Rubens on the first pit stop meant we both lost a bit of time, and we lost some more as thee mechanics had to wait for a gap in the traffic to let Rubens out," Michael Schumacher said.
"But it was definitely the right decision to come in and wait rather than do another lap."
Barrichello said, "I was so concentrated, I wasn't thinking of anything else."
Michael Schumacher dropped from fifth to 14th before gradually working his way back through the field.
Raikkonen moved into the lead on the 30th lap, but Barrichello was able to pass with a daring move on the 42nd lap.
"First, I knew I had a car fast enough to pull away," Barrichello said. " I took advantage of my car to pass cars.
"I almost lost my nose, It was fair, but it was aggressive."
