August date is chosen by Miss Van Valien

XHUBBARD -- Announcing their engagement are Carolyn Rose Van Valien and Chaun Michael Briley, both of 1011 W. Liberty St.
The future bride is a daughter of Rose Ann Van Valien, 523 Meadowland Drive, and the late William Van Valien Jr. Mr. Briley is a son of Carol Briley of South Vienna.
The couple will be married at 11 a.m. Aug. 30 at the gazebo in Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek MetroParks, Youngstown. A reception will take place that afternoon at The Elm Tree in Struthers.
A graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in telecommunications, Miss Van Valien is news director and morning show co-host known as "Carolyn Ross" with Best Country 95.1, The Cat, WCIT-FM in Brookfield.
Her fiance graduated from Clark State Community College in Springfield with a certificate in truck driving. He is an independent truck driver.
