IN THE CUP | Area holes in one



Dick McKitrick of Howland aced the 135-yard 15th hole at Riverview Golf Course, using a 9-iron. The shot was witnessed by Jim McKitrick, Ben Billock and Brad Rushin.
Marc Peluso, a sophomore at Struthers High, aced the 146-yard ninth hole at Countryside, using an 8-iron. Diana Peluso, his mother, witnessed the shot.
Scott Pappada of Warren shot his first ace on the 180-yard No. 16 hole at Tamer Win Golf Course in Cortland. It was witnessed by Aaron Haller.
Willam Litman of Brookfield aced the 138-yard third hole with a 3-wood at Pine Lakes Golf Club. The shot was witnessed by James Elliott, Lou Yuliano and Mark Yuliano.
Rich Coppola of Struthers aced Bedford Trails' 150-yard No. 9 hole using a 7-iron. Witnesses were Bob Giovanni, Dick Chiccone, Tom Pilkington and C.J. Andre.
Phil Holan of Austintown aced Henry Stambaugh's 135-yard, No. 6 hole using a 8-iron. Matt Hahn witnessed the shot.
Double eagles
Ed McHenry of Boardman scored a double-eagle on the 509-yard par 5, No. 15 hole on Mill Creek's north course. For his second shot, McHenry used a 3-wood. Witnesses were Gary Kubic, Ron Kovach and Mike Slavens.
Joe Zimmerman of Austintown scored a double eagle recently on the 485-yard No. 7 hole at Dogwood Golf Course. Witnesses were Denny Champion and Tom Champion.
