Presentation includesappraisal of antiques
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Jack Squires, antiques appraiser, will be the speaker at the Slippery Rock Heritage Association's next public program. The event will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 13 in Fellowship Hall of Center Presbyterian Church, 211 Center St., Slippery Rock.
Squires will make a brief presentation, followed by his identification and evaluation of up to three antiques or collectibles brought in by the audience. He will not appraise jewelry. The program is loosely modeled on the popular television series "Antiques Roadshow."
There is no admission charge, and the appraisals are free. A donation of $2 per family will be collected to offset the cost of light refreshments.
