LIMELIGHT Awards, achievements
YOUNGSTOWN -- Dr. Beverly Roberts Atwater, a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician with Humility of Mary Health Partners, is one of 10 medical doctors from across the country to be awarded the 2003-04 Osteopathic Health Policy Fellowship.
The fellowship is a year-long program designed for osteopathic physicians preparing for leadership roles in the profession and for positions of influence in health policy. The program, sponsored by Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and the New York Institute of Technology, leads to a certificate or credit for a masters degree in public health.
BOARDMAN -- Michael Rinaldi, physical therapist and owner of Rinaldi Physical Therapy in Boardman and Niles, has been awarded the designation of board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He was one of five physical therapists between Cleveland and Columbus to qualify for the exam this year. Rinaldi graduated from Ohio University in 1993.
CANFIELD -- Todd Westfall of Boardman, a financial adviser in Merrill Lynch's Youngstown and Canfield offices, has completed the course work to qualify for the certified financial planner designation. A Niles native, Westfall has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Ohio University and a law degree from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law. He has been with Merrill Lynch for six years.
WARREN -- Diane Sauer, owner of Martin Chevrolet in Warren, is one of seven female business owners in Ohio who received 2003 Governor's Awards for Excellence in Enterprise from Gov. Bob Taft. Sauer was recognized in the wholesale/retail category.
Nancy Diller-Shively, whose Akron-based Cambridge Home Health Care has offices in the Mahoning Valley, was recognized in the service category.
The award recognizes the achievements and economic contributions of female business owners in Ohio whose companies have shown outstanding financial and operational strength.
WARREN -- Mulvey Insurance Agency in Warren was awarded the 2003-04 Pacesetter designation by the Motorists Insurance Group in recognition of the agency's professionalism and profitability. Motorists is based in Columbus. Tim Mulvey is president of the agency and has been in the insurance business locally for 16 years.
