98th mission program

98th mission program
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- More than 1,000 people will participate in the 98th New Wilmington Missionary Conference next Saturday through Aug. 2 at Westminster College.
Events include Bible study, spiritual enrichment, and Christian fellowship. The NWMC began in 1906 as a Presbyterian mission conference for young people. This year's theme is from 1 Peter 4:10a: "Each should use whatever gift he has received to serve others."
Each summer, the NWMC sends a service team of young adults for seven weeks who also share their comments with those at the conference. This year, eight college students and an adult leader are in Thailand teaching English as a means of sharing the gospel.
The featured daily speaker is the Rev. Dr. Scott Sunquist, professor of world mission and evangelism at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.
International speakers are from Somalia, Malawi, Ghana, Mexico, Tajikistan, Vietnam and Italy. Missionaries from more than 20 countries will discuss their work. For more information visit www.NWMCmission.org, or call (724) 946-7195.
