XYOUNGSTOWN -- The exchange of nuptial vows took place during a 2:30 p.m. June 14 ceremony as Kelly Booksing, daughter of Carl and Shirley Booksing, 9815 Deltona Drive, New Middletown, and Seth Matey, son of Dennis and Sherry Matey, 1216 E. Pine Lake Road, New Springfield, were united in marriage at St. Columba Cathedral.
Monsignor Lawrence Fye officiated at the ceremony, and the couple were honored at reception later that day at St. Nicholas Byzantine Center. After a wedding trip to the Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple live at 12800 Woodworth Road, New Springfield.
The bride, a fourth-grade mathematics and science teacher at Eagle Heights Academy, graduated cum laude with a degree in elementary education from Youngstown State University.
The groom is a union carpenter with L & amp;M Construction in Steubenville.
The bride's white satin A-line gown featured spaghetti straps and a beaded bodice.
Diana Mullen served as honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Chalsa Matey and Kyla Matey, the groom's sisters; Julie Mullen; Lynette Carosella; and Melissa Perez. Flower girls were the bride's niece, Anjelina Perez, and Madison Mullen.
The duties of best man were performed by Justin Lewis, and groomsmen were the bride's brothers, Brian Booksing and Carl Booksing Jr.; Joe Jones; and Justin McMannis. Ring bearers were the groom's nephews, Aidan Matey and Adler Matey.
