Acri anniversary is celebrated at dinner party



XNORTH JACKSON -- Colonial Catering in Canfield was the setting at July 13 as friends and relatives gathered to honor Mr. and Mrs. Jack Acri of North Jackson, who were celebrating the 50th anniversary of their wedding.
Invitations for the dinner party were extended by their family, Joan and Walter Purnell and John E. and Anne Acri, all of North Jackson; Jean E. Acri of Belchertown, Mass.; and Jane E. Acri of Columbus. Also participating were their four grandchildren.
The former Joan Anderson and Mr. Acri were united in marriage July 11, 1953, at First Federated Church, where they are members.
Prior to retiring in 1993, Mrs. Acri was employed as a secretary at Burton Supply Co., Youngstown.
Mr. Acri served for two years with the U.S. Army in criminal investigation. He was president of Acri Studio of Photography until retiring in 2000. He is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Professional Photographers of Ohio and Ohio Society of Professional Photographers.
