Boy suspected in rock-throwing episode

HILLSVILLE, Pa. -- A 16-year-old boy is suspected of throwing rocks at cars on Pa. Route 551 in Mahoning Township. State police report that a rock hit a car at 9:20 p.m. Friday. Police did not say if the driver and passenger were hurt. Authorities also did not say if this matter was connected to rock throwing July 9, when three cars were damaged. Police said rocks were dropped off of an overpass from Churchill Road onto U.S. Route 224 in Mahoning Township. One person had minor injuries.
