Vows renewed by Parentis on anniversary

XSTRUTHERS -- Mr. and Mrs. Louie Parenti, 481 W. Harvey St., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their nuptial vows during a 9:30 a.m. Mass held July 6 at St. Nicholas Church where they are members.
Afterward the couple were honored by family and friends during a dinner and reception held from 1 to 4 p.m. at The Elm Tree.
Hosts for the festivities were their daughters and their families, Mary Ellen and Guy Gugliotti of Poland, and Gary and Josanna Cauler of Colorado Springs, Colo., and their five grandchildren.
The former Lola Tomei and Mr. Parenti were married July 20, 1953, at St. Epiphany Church in Boyers, Pa. They are members of St. Nicholas Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Parenti was employed as a sales associate 15 years at Sears in Boardman prior to retiring in 1991. She is a member of Sears Friendship Club, the Knights of Columbus Ladies Club, and the Altar Rosary Society.
Her husband served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired in 1991 as a maintenance foreman after 30 years of service with Consumer Ohio Water Co. in Struthers. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
