STRUTHERS HISTORICAL SOCIETY Photography contest

Struthers Historical Society sponsored a photography contest during Struthers Day on July 6 at Mauthe Park. Over 100 photographs were submitted, and Jerry Wansak of Hometown Photography served as judge. Results were as follows:
Garden and flora: Shirley Redmond, first place for "Sunset at Reelfoot Lake"; Arlene Summers, second for "Rough Water"; and Gary Dunn, third for "Blazing Star."
Struthers Scenes: Karen Behanna, first for "Fence on Wetmore" and second for "Sky Fire"; and Donald Massaro, third for "Here Today, Gone Tomorrow."
Pets and Wildlife: Shirley Redmond first for "Redtail Hawk"; Dunn, second for "Pearl Crescent Butterfly"; and Summers, third for "Mitzi."
Juvenile: Alicia Sanchez, first for "Patriotic Baby"; Ashley Buchner, second for "Mr. Big Horns" and third for "Yummy?"
People and Activities From the Past: Redmond, first for "The Old Homestead," and third for "Honey Combing Oats"; and Greg Davner, second for "Childhood Friends."
