XSALEM -- Locust Grove Baptist Church was the setting at 2:30 p.m. June 7 for the wedding of Stephanie Freedy, 5191 W. South Range Road, and Michael Farris, 6340 St. Andrews Drive, Canfield.
The Rev. Robert Noble officiated, and the couple accepted congratulations during a reception at Stambaugh Auditorium before leaving on a wedding trip to the Turks and Caicos islands in the Caribbean.
The daughter of Anthony and Janet Freedy of the Salem address and the son of Mary Hiznay, 4813 Center Road, Lowellville, and Joseph Farris, 3113 Mayflower St., Sarasota, Fla., live at the groom's address.
Fashioned of diamond white satin, the bride's gown featured spaghetti straps and a dropped waistline. It was embellished with silver accents and crystals, and the box-pleated skirt flowed into a cathedral train.
Wearing garnet-colored gowns were the honor attendant, Becky Sloan, and the bridesmaids, Betsy Ahlquist, Jackie Grissett, Erika Stallsmith, and Leslie Riffle. Flower girl was Chloe Freedy.
Serving as best man was Jason Farris, and groomsmen were Joseph Farris, Sam Freedy, Paul Freedy, and John Capple. Ring bearer was Joshua DiTommaso.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University, and is a human resource supervisor with American Standard Inc.
The groom, a facility director with Keystone Rehabilitation Systems in Campbell, holds a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from YSU.
