Dinner party marks Harings golden jubilee



XSARASOTA, FLA. -- Mr. and Mrs. George Haring, 4926 Sabal Lake Circle, were the guests of honor at a dinner party held at 1 p.m. July 20 in celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Invitations were extended for the event by the hosts, Ed and Loretta Garasic of Cambridge Avenue., Youngstown, Mr. Haring's sister and brother-in-law.
The former Marie Ekoniak and Mr. Haring were married Aug. 1, 1953, at St. Matthias Church, Youngstown. They are members of the Church of Hope in Sarasota. The couple have a son, Christopher Haring of Sarasota, and one grandchild.
Mrs. Haring retired in 1991 as a special-education teacher with Youngstown City Schools. She is employed by Sarasota County Schools in exceptional student education teaching physically challenged students.
Mr. Haring was the band director at Cardinal Mooney High School in Youngstown from 1956 to 1960 and retired in 1990 as band director with Campbell City Schools. After 10 years in property management on Siesta Key, he is retired.
