August rite set for Miss Dukes, Charles Sutton

XYOUNGSTOWN -- Eddie and Bernice Dukes of Youngstown are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Veronica Dukes, and Charles H. Sutton, both of Youngstown. The prospective groom is a son of the late Emma Scott Sutton and Herbert Davis.
Miss Dukes is employed by Graybar Electrical.
Mr. Sutton, who retired from the U.S. Army as a first sergeant, is the senior Army ROTC instructor at The Rayen School. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees in communications at the University of Hawaii, Manoa Campus.
The couple have chosen Aug. 16 as their wedding day. They will exchange marriage vows during an open-church ceremony at 3:15 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church. An evening reception, by invitation, will be held at the Buckeye Elks Youth Center.
