Anniversary is celebrated by the Novaks

XSTRUTHERS -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Novak, 565 Audrey Lane, was celebrated during a reception that took place at 6 p.m. July 12 at the Lockwood House in Boardman.
Invitations for the event were issued by the couple's children and their spouses, Tom and Maria Novak of Struthers, Terri Hohler of Mentor, Suzie Scheetz of Sarasota, Fla., and Sandi and Tim Yuhas of Chippewa Township, Pa.
The former Pat Patterson and Mr. Novak were united in marriage July 11, 1953, at St. Nicholas Church where they are members. The couple have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Novak served with the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1955 as a corpsman aboard the hospital ship Consolation. He retired in 1983 as a supervisor at Youngstown Sheet and Tube in Youngstown.
His wife is a homemaker.
