Military tribute artistto sign copies of prints
NILES -- Youngstown artist Ray Simon will be signing copies of his military tribute prints and other art prints at a Meet the Artist event set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Michaels Arts & amp; Crafts in the Great East Plaza, Niles. Simon's artistic tributes to World War II, Korean War, Iraq and Desert Storm veterans have been licensed by the U.S. Defense Department for sale at military bases around the world.
Mall rounds up charitiesfor fund-raising event
BOARDMAN -- Southern Park Mall is lining up local charities and not-for-profit organizations to participate in its annual Simon Evening of Giving, a fund-raising event planned for 6:30 p.m. Nov. 23 at the mall. The evening will offer private shopping and family entertainment exclusively to the supporters of the participating charities. The charities sell tickets to the event and keep most of the proceeds. Van Fossan to handleSofas Plus marketing
BOARDMAN -- Sofas Plus has selected Van Fossan & amp; Associates of Youngstown as its marketing communications agency of record.
The Boardman furniture store is retaining VFA to work on branding, creative development, in-store promotional signs, as well as print, radio and television advertising. Tim Compton, co-owner of Sofas Plus, said a new marketing campaign will begin later this summer.
