Arrest: A Youngstown man was charged with criminal trespassing after an East Kline Street woman asked him to leave her residence, and she and police alleged he refused.
Auto theft: A 1997 Pontiac van was stolen from a driveway in the 1000 block of Washington Avenue.
Criminal damage/theft: A vehicle's driver's-side window was broken and a stereo was removed in the 200 block of Forsythe Avenue.

Domestic violence: Police charged an East Kline Street man with domestic violence after his wife alleged he grabbed her and threw her against a wall after refusing to allow the victim to leave their home.

Theft: A man in the 100 block of Church Hill Road reported someone has been stealing items from his home on several occasions.

Theft/criminal damage: A man discovered his car's trunk damaged, along with a back seat, a pull-out compact disc/AM-FM stereo and 80 CDs removed while the vehicle was at Miller's Towing, 4100 Belmont Ave.

Recovered property: A picnic table and bench stolen from a building in the 1400 block of West Liberty Street were recovered near a business on Elm Street.
July 1
Criminal damage: A man reported his vehicle's passenger-side window was shattered as he drove on state Route 11.
Theft: Two employees at Long John Silver's, 3560 Belmont Ave., reported a cash register in the drive-through was $50 short.
Criminal damage: Two residents, one in the 10 block of Wildfern Drive and the other in the 1800 block of Pleasant Valley Road, reported someone placed an explosive device in their mailboxes and destroyed them.
Arrest: After stopping a vehicle for displaying fictitious license plates, police arrested a 27-year-old Youngstown man on one count of failure to appear in court to face a traffic offense. Officers also charged him with driving under a suspended license.

Theft: An employee at Radio Shack, 3551 Belmont Ave., reported a man left without paying for a $20, 6-foot dubbing cable.
Arrests: After investigating a domestic situation at the American Inn, 1600 Motor Inn Drive, police arrested a 49-year-old Girard man on a domestic-violence charge after officers said they saw bruises on the victim's right arm and redness on her right leg.

Criminal damage: Police discovered a window on a glass door broken at Grandma Shears, 1061 Trumbull Ave.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a man, 28, and a woman, 24, on domestic violence charges. The man alleged she hit his left arm; the woman said he struck her in the right eye and punched her in the head during an argument at their Aurora Drive residence.

Criminal damage: Someone used an explosive device to destroy a mailbox in the 6200 block of Sodom-Hutchings Road.
Theft: A man in the 1000 block of East Liberty Street alleged his former wife stole $60 from his daughter's purse.

Criminal damage: A man tossed a 40-ounce beer bottle from a balcony at the Tallyho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave., and struck a vehicle, damaging its rear windshield.

Breaking and entering: An employee at Perkins Family Restaurant, 3622 Belmont Ave., reported someone broke into an office and safe. An undetermined amount of money was taken from a cash drawer.
