STRUTHERS -- Greg Rohan hit a bases-loaded, three-run double to highlight a six-run sixth inning rally, and Rondinelli Tuxedo held off a Line Drive Academy comeback in the bottom of the seventh inning for a 7-6 win in game one of the Class B championship series at Cene Park Sunday.
Games two begins tonight at 6 p.m., with game three to follow.
Line Drive opened up a 4-1 lead after five innings, only to see Rondinelli send 11 batters to the plate in the sixth.
Consecutive singles to start the inning by Josh Conkey, Scott Bender and Muke DeNiro scored one run, then after a walk to John Sciullo loaded the bases, Rohan lined a double down the left-field line, clearing the bases and giving Rondinelli a 5-4 lead.
Two more runs
A balk advanced Rohan to third and he scored on a sacrifice fly by Gary Bucuren. Ryan Hallapy singled and scored the last run of the rally on a hit by Gabe McKee to make it 7-4.
Line Drive cut the lead to 7-5 in the bottom of the sixth. Vasili Pahoulis tripled home Marc Sikora, who had singled.
In the bottom of the seventh, Chris Tremblay doubled, moved to third on a wild pitch and scored on a ground out by Dan Ford.
Line Drive had the tying run at third with two outs, but Conkey made a good play at second for the final out.

Line Drive 7, Livi Steel 6
Craig Dobos hit a pinch-hit, bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 12th inning to give Line Drive a 7-6 win over Livi Steel in the deciding game of their best-of-3 semifinal series Saturday night.
Line Drive took a 5-1 lead in the first two innings, then Shawn Carr came on in relief for Livi and allowed just one run over the next seven innings. Carr had six strikeouts and did not walk a batter.
Meanwhile, Cole Budinsky pitched the first five innings for Line Drive, allowing three runs on six hits before giving way to John Mang.
Mang went the rest of the way, allowing three unearned runs in the seventh inning, then allowing just two runners on base over the last five innings. Mang had two strikeouts and earned the victory.
