WNBA Jackson has career game for Cleveland
The Rockers ended a five-game losing streak.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Deanna Jackson scored a career-high 30 points as the Cleveland Rockers ended a five-game road losing streak with a 79-71 win over the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday night.
Jackson, who had been averaging seven points per game, made 11 of 14 shots, including four three-pointers. Her previous career high was 19, set last week against Indiana.
Katie Smith led the Lynx with 21 points ---- 17 in the second half ---- but was held to just six field goal attempts. She took just one shot in the first half.
The Rockers (7-7) never trailed, pulling out to a 33-22 halftime lead. Their biggest lead was 13, after a Jackson 3-pointer four minutes into the second half.
Minnesota (7-8) cut the lead to five late in the game, but never got closer.
Chasity Melvin scored 16 points for Cleveland.
Sting 67, Monarchs 65
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Allison Feaster and Shalonda Enis each scored 19 points as the Charlotte Sting beat the Sacramento Monarchs.
The Sting (10-6) grabbed two key offensive rebounds in the final seconds to preserve the win after blowing a 16-point second-half lead.
With Charlotte ahead 66-65, Tammy Sutton-Brown rebounded Feaster's miss and Dawn Staley was fouled with 5.8 seconds left. Staley made the first free throw and missed the second, but Andrea Stinson rebounded and the Sting ran out the clock.
Comets 76, Mystics 54
HOUSTON -- Sheryl Swoopes scored 23 points and Tina Thompson added 18 as the Houston Comets beat Washington for their third straight win.
The Comets (9-7) have won four of five at the end of a six-game homestand.
Washington (2-12) has lost nine straight since posting its last win, a 79-72 victory over San Antonio on June 10. The Mystics have not won on the road since opening night.
Silver Stars 81, Mercury 70
SAN ANTONIO -- The San Antonio Silver Stars snapped a three-game losing streak with a win over the Phoenix Mercury.
Gwen Jackson had 15 points and 10 rebounds, and Marie Ferdinand had 16 for the Silver Stars, who had four starters in double figures.
Anna DeForge led the Mercury with 14 points.
