SHARON, PA. 'Rock 'N Roll Cruise' to feature hot rods, musical groups, food
SHARON, Pa. -- Hot rods, musical groups and food are all part of "Rock 'N Roll Cruise" slated for downtown Sharon on July 26.
The East State Street business district from Irvine Avenue to Railroad Avenue will be closed for the event with The Rodfathers of Butler, a car club featuring dozens of hot rods, setting up their cruise-in on the street.
The event offers an open invitation to an owner of a hot rod or classic car to participate. Cars are to begin arriving around 10 a.m., while the cruise-in hours are from noon to 8 p.m.
Entertainment begins at 2 p.m. with Billy Smooth and the House Rockers and Come Together (a Beatles tribute band) as the opening acts.
Brass Taxi will perform at 4 p.m., and Johnny Angel and The Halos will take the stage at 6 p.m. Food vendors will be positioned throughout the downtown area, and downtown merchants are planning promotions for that day.
The Vocal Group Hall of Fame at 98 E. State St. will be open for free tours.
