Blaney profiledin magazine
YOUNGSTOWN -- Hartford native Dave Blaney is the subject of an article in the July issue of Racing Milestones Magazine.
The four-page article addresses Blaney's adaptation to NASCAR's Winston Cup Series.
Drivers such as Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman have made the crossover from open-wheel racing look easy, while Blaney's start has been slower. However, underdog Blaney -- the Jasper Motorsports No. 77 entry -- has gained ground against the highly funded, higher-profiled, multi-car teams.
"We have enough stuff at our fingertips to win races," Blaney says in the article by Ken Willis, "It might be harder to do, but it's there. We just gotta put it all together."
