Police probe what caused Route 60 accident
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Union Township police continue investigating the cause of an accident on Pa. state Route 60.
Officials from the Pennsylvania State Police barracks in New Castle said two cars were reportedly racing in the southbound lanes near the toll entrance when one of the drivers slammed on the brakes and crashed into the guardrail.
At least one driver was thrown from a vehicle, and police found two men on the ground.
Officials from the Union Township department could not be reached to comment, and state police had no details on the men's names or conditions.
