Bargaining to resumefor Turning Point staff
YOUNGSTOWN -- Striking Turning Point Counseling employees will return to the bargaining table at 8 a.m. Monday for the first time since they began their walkout Tuesday afternoon, said Becky Williams, Ohio Area Director for the Service Employees International Union, District 1199. The union represents about 100 mental health workers at the agency whose contract expired at midnight Monday.
Turning Point has a contract to provide mental health services to adults in Mahoning County. Agency workers serve more than 3,000 clients yearly. The agency said it will continue operating during the strike.
Girard chamber boardto meet at library
