AUBURN, N.Y. -- Kevin Kouzmanoff drove in a run and scored another to help lead the Mahoning Valley Scrappers to a 3-1 win Wednesday over the Auburn Doubledays in the New York-Penn League.
In the first inning, Kouzmanoff hit a sacrifice fly for a 1-0 lead.
The Doubledays tied the game in the third inning.
In the fourth inning, Kouzmanoff was hit by a pitch and came around to score for a 2-1 lead.
Anthony Lunetta and Ryan Mulhern hit back-to-back doubles in the fifth inning to complete the scoring.
In a pitching duel, Matt Davis (2-2) got the victory with a strong showing in relief.
The Doubledays (11-5) continue to lead the Pinckney Division but are 3-5 against the Scrappers and 8-0 against the rest of the league.
After trailing by five games Saturday, the Scrappers (10-6) have four straight wins over Auburn and trail by one game.
Tonight at 7 p.m. at Cafaro Field, Jamestown (3-13) plays the Scrappers.
