LEADERS Canfield Junior Women installs slate of officers

AUSTINTOWN -- Canfield Junior Women's League held installation of new officers May 31 at a meeting at Austin Manor. Terri Schade, outgoing president, conducted the induction ceremony.
Karen Pavlansky was seated as president of the organization. She has been a member since 1996 and has headed the Fall Market for the past three years. She is a volunteer with the Canfield Local School District and referees high-school basketball games. She is a member of St. Michael Church in Canfield, where she serves as a lector. She and her husband, Patrick, have two daughters.
Seated as her associate officers were Judy Buck, first vice president; Marnie Murphy, second vice president; Rita Peters, recording secretary; Sally Joseph, corresponding secretary; Laurie Hixson, treasurer; and Schade, parliamentarian.
Those named as committee heads were Sue Murdoch, constitution; Janet Boehm and Diane Graham, federation; Marcia Melvin, historian; Judy Codespode, hospitality; Melanie McCormick, nominations; Christine Hanrahan, publicity; Mary Witkowski, resource; Murphy, social; Terri Wagner, telephone; and Janice Jarvis, ways and means.
In charge of departments will be Anne Liller, conservation; Murdoch, education; Jarvis, fine arts; Suzanne Esposito, home life; Patty Machingo, international; and Deana Tareshawty, public affairs.
Those chosen to head projects were Esposito, blood bank; Melvin, cookbook; Witkowski, community chest; Sue Ramdin, yearbook; Melvin and Esposito, Fall Market; and Graham, First Night Canfield.
