The Irish American Archival Society has set a time line for the collection of material and caption adaptation for publishing its book, "The Irish in Youngstown, Warren and the Mahoning Valley."
Anyone interested in submitting Irish photographs and documents or volunteering time to research photographs in libraries or historical societies should attend the IAAS meetings Tuesday and July 22, Aug. 5 and 19 and Sept. 2 and 9. All meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be at 5480 Mission Hills Drive, Canfield.
Phase I is the collection period for photographs and images and will end Sept. 2. Photographs, postcards, naturalization papers, marriage licenses, ship passage receipts and letters will be accepted.
Phase II will involve the selection of photographs for specific chapters of the book. Phase III will involve editing the photo captions.
