XYOUNGSTOWN -- The wedding of Vonnie Moler, daughter of Donald and Judy Moler, 2623 Morris Lane, Girard, and Joe Mrva, son of Stanley and Frances Mrva, 3014 Rockefeller Road, Willoughby Hills, took place at 2:30 p.m. June 1 at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park.
The Rev. Keith Olszen officiated, and a reception followed at the D.D. and Velma Davis Education and Visitor Center at the gardens. The couple honeymooned in the Bahamas and are living in Euclid.
The bride was wearing a white A-line gown designed with an empire waist. The bodice and train were enhanced with floral beading.
Maid of honor was Amy Stevenson, and bridesmaids were Lisa Williams, Holly Parker and Theresa Fairfield. They wore periwinkle gowns. Junior bridesmaid was Desa Banish, the bride's niece.
Pete Kozelj was best man, and serving as groomsmen were Tim Percic; Mark Mrva, the groom's brother; Tony Shaw; and Ryan Shaw.
Mrs. Mrva earned a bachelor's degree in microbiology at Ohio University in Athens and is a research assistant at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. She served two years with the Peace Corps in Senegal, West Africa, as a primary health-care agent.
The groom holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from OU and is a manager in mechanical engineering at Neuro Control Corp. in Valley View.
