Reception held to honor Ohlins on anniversary
XSPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Rudy E. Ohlin, 9657 Springfield Road, was celebrated during a dinner and reception June 28 at St. Paul the Apostle Church Hall in New Middletown.
Hosts were the couple's sons and daughters, Kathy Desenze of Salem, Russ Ohlin and Randy Ohlin, both of New Middletown, Mary Emerson of Springfield Township, Mark Ohlin of North Lima, Ann Porter of Poland and Theresa Cummings of New Springfield.
The former Joyce E. Famor and Mr. Ohlin were united in marriage June 26, 1953, at St. Paul the Apostle Church, where they are members. They have 15 grandchildren.
Mrs. Ohlin is a self-employed secretary-treasurer of a home business and also for Mahoning County Popshop. She is an R.C.I.A. teacher, a lector and a Eucharistic minister at the church.
Mr. Ohlin is a self-employed land developer and builder. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
