Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pelles honored at celebration for 50th anniversary

XHUBBARD -- Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pelles of Hubbard celebrated their golden wedding anniversary July 4 at a family dinner.
Mr. Pelles and the former Naomi Dudash were married July 4, 1953, at the Chapel of Friendly Bells in Youngstown. He served for 30 years in the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserve, and retired in 1995 from Downtown Oldsmobile and Jay Cole Chevy Olds, both in Warren, where he was service-parts director. He also served as commander of the Mosquito Lake Power Squadron and is a member of the Fleet Reserve Association and the American Association of Retired Persons.
His wife sold real estate and also worked as a school-bus driver for Niles City Schools.
The couple have a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Clifford Bequeath of Niles, one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
