XYOUNGSTOWN -- The Rev. Robert Quaintance officiated at 4:30 p.m. May 31 at Kidston Pavilion in Mill Creek Park as marriage vows were exchanged by Melissa Ann Oliva and Edward Charles Hock Jr., both of 16679 Mock Road, Berlin Center.
The bride is a daughter of Philip and Dorothy Oliva of the Mock Road address, and the groom is a son of the late Edward and Virginia Hock.
A La Cart Catering in Canfield was the setting afterward for a reception honoring the newlyweds. They plan a honeymoon to Jamaica this month.
A sleeveless sheath gown of diamond-white silk crepe was worn by the bride. It was designed with a rolled neckline and beaded dropped waist, and the skirt fell to a sweep train. A crystal tiara held her fingertip veil.
Matron of honor was Karen Eusanio, and bridesmaids were the bride's sisters-in-law, Ellen and Marcia Oliva. They wore navy-blue gowns. Her niece, Samantha Oliva, was flower girl in a white gown.
Gene Riachi, the groom's brother-in-law, performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Christopher and Eric Oliva, the bride's brothers. Her nephews, David and Dylan Oliva, were ushers.
Mrs. Hock holds a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and is an assembler at General Motors Corp. in Lordstown.
Her husband attended YSU and is a supervisor at GM, Lordstown. He also served in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps.
