The Liberty Board of Education handled these matters Tuesday:
Approved one-year limited teaching contracts for the 2003-04 school year for Shawn Reynolds, instrumental music, for $28,995; Suzanne O'Brien, supplemental service teacher, for $33,146; and Kathleen Cioffi, high school Spanish teacher, for $29,100.
Approved the supplemental contracts for the 2003-04 school year for Melissa Forsythe, student council adviser at Guy Middle School, for $12.32 an hour; John Humphrey, girls assistant soccer coach, for $1,425; Lisa Kalbasky, assistant basketball coach, for $2,993; Reynolds, assistant band director (maximum 200 hours), for $12.32 an hour; Robert Rieke, community coordinator, for $14.62 an hour; Judd Rubin, eighth-grade assistant basketball coach, for $3,421; Christine Shelton, speech and debate adviser, for $2,138; and Scott Yurcisin, athletic trainer, for $1,995.
Approved temporary appropriations for fiscal year 2004 that total $16.3 million, with $11,116,058 allocated to the general fund.
