Casey, Guillen, Kendall hearings postponed
PITTSBURGH (AP) -- Disciplinary hearings for Sean Casey and Jose Guillen of the Cincinnati Reds and Jason Kendall of the Pittsburgh Pirates, scheduled for Tuesday, were postponed at major league baseball's request.
New dates have not been scheduled.
Casey was suspended three games for charging Carlos Silva of Philadelphia on June 13. Guillen was suspended for two games for bumping plate umpire Matt Hollowell while arguing a called third strike last week in St. Louis.
Cincinnati pitcher Paul Wilson on Tuesday served the fifth and final game of his suspension for fighting with Kyle Farnsworth of the Chicago Cubs on June 19.
Kendall was suspended three games after fighting with Tampa Bay's Marlon Anderson on June 14. Kendall was told the suspension would be cut to two games if he dropped his appeal, but he contends he should not be suspended.
