Buffet dinner held to honor Snyders on anniversary

XSALEM -- The 50th anniversary of their wedding was celebrated by Mr. and Mrs. Ivan C. Snyder, 10061 Duck Creek Road, during a buffet dinner party held June 28 at Canfield Presbyterian Church.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children and their spouses, Harley and Betty Jones of Beloit; Nancy Snyder of Orlando, Fla.; Jeff and Cathy Yochelson of Woodstock, Md.; and Alan and Vicky McMaster of Hammondsville.
The couple, who were united in marriage June 27, 1953, at Canfield Presbyterian Church, have two grandchildren.
Mrs. Snyder, the former Esther M. Manchester, retired in 1995 from Salem Community Hospital, where she was a registered nurse. She is a member of the SCH Registered Nurses Alumni.
Mr. Snyder was a heavy-equipment operator with Operating Engineers Local 66 in Youngstown prior to retiring in 1994. He is a member of the Short Circuits Radio Control Plane Club.
