Accordino 50th celebrated on Gateway Clipper

XNILES -- Mr. and Mrs. Sam Accordino, 810 Nob Hill, marked their 50th wedding anniversary during a family dinner July 4 on the Gateway Clipper in Pittsburgh.
Hosts and hostesses for the outing were the honorees' daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Joe Franko of Niles, Lori and Duane Des Lauriers of Gardena, Calif., and Anna and Kevin Furlong of Stow.
The former Angie Giuttari and Mr. Accordino were married June 20, 1953, in Sicily, Italy.
Now retired, Mr. and Mrs. Accordino are the former owners of Rudy's Restaurant.
Mrs. Accordino is active in a nursing-home ministry.
Mr. Accordino, who also retired from Allied Metals, is a member of golf and boccie leagues. He served in the U.S. Army.
The family circle includes six grandchildren.
