* What better time to celebrate Ohio music than the Bicentennial year? Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland adds to its "Hang On Sloopy The Music of Ohio" exhibit with live concerts by Buckeye bands. Tickets for an "Ohio Funk Party," featuring Zapp and Heatwave at 8:30 p.m. July 28, will go on sale Monday for $18. Ticket sales will begin Tuesday for "Ohio's Punk Past," featuring Tin Huey, the Pink Holes and the Pagans, at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 9. Those tickets are $10. Call Ticketmaster.
* Modern rock band Seven Mary Three, which made its national debut with the song "Cumbersome," will perform with special guest The Cocktones on July 24 at The Cellar, 162 S. Bridge St., Struthers. Ticket sales will begin Monday at South Bridge Billiards, above The Cellar and Chili's in the Southern Park Mall parking lot, Boardman. Price is $12.50 in advance, $15 at the door.
* Things could get messy when United Dirt Track Racing Association brings its Xtreme Dirtcar Series race to Sharon Speedway in Hartford for the first time Wednesday. This race is for late-model cars. Gates will open at 4 p.m. Call (330) 772-5481 for details.

* Crafts from days gone by will be for sale at Plymouth Street Peddler Days in the Columbiana County village of Hanoverton, state Route 9. Hours will be from 10-5 July 12 and from 11-4 July 13. Spread Eagle Tavern will served gourmet picnic food; tours will be given of the historic home next door; and nearby Lockhart House will be open to shoppers. * See vintage aircraft and talk to pilots at U.S. Aviation Museum's "Gathering of Eagles VIII" from July 11-13 at Ashtabula County Airport, Brown and Airport roads, Jefferson.
