COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Coretta Brown hit a driving layup at the buzzer as North Carolina rallied from an 11-point deficit in the second half. Nikita Bell scored a career-high 30 points for the Tar Heels (17-2, 6-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), who trailed 55-44 early in the second half and 79-74 with 1:58 remaining. Chrissy Fisher had 20 points, Renneika Razor 19 and Terri Daniels 18 for the Terrapins (8-11, 2-6). Razor put Maryland up 82-81 with a driving layup with nine seconds to go, and she was fouled on the play. Razor missed the free throw, setting the stage for Brown's game-winner.

RUSTON, La. -- Trina Frierson and Sultra Harding each scored 16 points for Louisiana Tech (15-2), which won its 13th in a row. The Techsters have won 141 straight games against unranked opponents. Aarica Ray had 14 points and eight rebounds for Louisiana Tech. Erica Smith added 13 points, Amber Obaze had 12 and Toya George 11. Van'esha Brabson topped Centenary (4-13) with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Jullie Danieles had 10 points.
