Optometry practice will open at clinic

SHARON, Pa. -- Drs. Paul and Kathleen Freeman of Pittsburgh will open an optometry practice at the Low Vision Clinic at the Keystone Blind Association building at 1230 Stambaugh Ave.
The association has been planning the clinic for years and recently received a donation of some equipment to complete the process.
The Freemans will be welcomed at an open house at the clinic from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The couple will spend one or two days each month at the clinic, depending on the demand for their services. The first clinic day will be Feb. 26.
Keystone has already opened an eyeglass clinic at its building, and the doctor's clinic will complement that service, insuring a continuity of services from examination through the rehabilitation process.
Certified Keystone employees will work with the doctors to provide complete low-vision assessment and training.
Paul Freeman practices at Allegheny General Hospital, and Kathleen Freeman recently relocated from a low-vision practice in Texas.
Debbie Fait, Keystone's communications director, said the agency has been transporting people from this area to Pittsburgh for the service in the past, and the Freemans' decision to open an office in the agency's clinic will make it easier for clients to receive services.
