MIAMI -- Reggie Miller sank a 3-pointer with 1 minute, 10 seconds remaining to put Indiana ahead to stay, then added a layup with 41 seconds to go. Indiana forward Ron Artest had two confrontations with Heat coach Pat Riley, and he made an obscene gesture from center court as the Pacers rallied in the final period. The Heat lost after leading at the start of the fourth quarter for the eighth time. Miller scored 21 points to lead the Pacers, who won their fourth in a row. Caron Butler had 22 points for Miami.
Wizards 98, Suns 93
WASHINGTON -- Jerry Stackhouse scored 33 points and blocked Scott Williams' dunk attempt in the final minute as Washington held on after losing all of a 15-point lead in the second half. Stackhouse's runner in the paint broke a 91-all tie with 40 seconds remaining. Stackhouse also went 4-for-4 at the free throw line in the final minute as the Wizards broke a three-game losing streak. He scored 10 of Washington's last 15 points, finished 10-for-10 at the line and had nine assists. Stephon Marbury had 29 points, eight assists and six turnovers for the Suns. Michael Jordan finished with 19 points, seven rebounds and five turnovers.
Timberwolves 106, Spurs 95
MINNEAPOLIS -- Kevin Garnett tied his season high with 34 points to lead Minnesota to its sixth straight win. Garnett grabbed 10 rebounds and shot 14-for-19 from the floor for Minnesota, which has won nine of 11. Wally Szczerbiak scored 17 points in his first start since Nov. 16 for the Wolves. Tony Parker had 19 points and Tim Duncan added 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Spurs, beaten for just the second time in eight games. Center David Robinson was injured and did not play.
Rockets 100, Grizzlies 95
MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Steve Francis scored 22 points and Yao Ming had 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead Houston. Yao hit two free throws with less than 20 seconds remaining. Francis made two more with three seconds remaining to end Houston's four-game losing skid. Pau Gasol led Memphis with 26 points, while Drew Gooden had 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Bucks 108, Hornets 93
NEW ORLEANS -- Sam Cassell had 25 points and 10 assists, and Michael Redd scored 22 points -- including six 3-pointers -- to lead Milwaukee. The Bucks won their sixth straight on the road and eighth in nine games overall. Ray Allen scored 22 points and Dan Gadzuric added 10. Tony Kukoc hit a pair of 3-pointers and finished with 10 points. Jamal Mashburn led New Orleans with 24 points, while David Wesley added 20 and Robert Pack, starting for the injured Baron Davis, scored a season-high 15.
Nets 92, Nuggets 66
DENVER -- Richard Jefferson scored 23 points and Kenyon Martin had 17 points and nine rebounds, leading New Jersey over turnover-prone Denver. Lucious Harris added 16 points and seven rebounds for the Nets. Vincent Yarbrough had 13 points and was the lone double-digit scorer for Denver, which self-destructed in the second period with 15 turnovers and three quick technical fouls, two of which resulted in the ejection of leading scorer Juwan Howard. The Nuggets finished with a season-high 32 turnovers.
