JUNIOR LEAGUE Wine-tasting event is scheduled for Jan. 30

Proceeds will benefit community projects sponsored by the league.
NILES -- The Junior League of Youngstown will sponsor a "Hearts of Fire" wine-tasting event and art show to be held from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Jan. 30 at Alberini's Restaurant.
Highlighting the evening will be lessons on various wines, including how to select and serve them. There also will be a display and sale of jewelry and art and a silent auction of entertainment packages, restaurant gift certificates, weekend get-aways, and golf and spa packages.
The cost is $40 and includes wine and hors d'oeuvres. Reservations can be made until Jan. 25 with Gina Chiaro, 211 Diana Drive, Poland, Ohio 44514. For additional information call (330) 707-0969.

Making arrangements
Co-chairmen for the event are Nina Clayman and Lynee Aiad-Toss. They are being assisted by Richard Alberini and members of the Hearts of Fire committee, Rose Knight, JoAnn Stock, Rae Lackner, Sharon Velasquez, Chiaro, Gloria Joy Polisso and Dorothy Kijowski.
The league was organized in 1929 to support educational and charitable causes. The group promotes volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
