Shontz jubilee is celebrated at dinner party

XLIBERTY TOWNSHIP -- Mr. and Mrs. Donald Shontz Sr. of Liberty Township marked their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 21 by renewing their marriage vows in the presence of the Rev. Bruce McLauglin at Vienna United Methodist Church, where a dinner party was held afterward.
Arrangements for the festivities were made by the couple's family, Deborah and David Duer of Vienna, Don and Lori Shontz of Bowersville, and Mark and Sissy Shontz of Lordstown. There are also three grandchildren in the family.
The former Leona Richards and Mr. Shontz were married Dec. 12, 1952, at Church Hill United Methodist Church.
Mr. Shontz served with the U.S. Navy and retired in 1992 after 37 years of service with Ohio Bell Telephone Co. in Youngstown.
