SHARON 3 men arrested in attacks on officer

The officer was assaulted twice within a matter of minutes by three men, authorities said.
SHARON, Pa. -- Police said an officer responding to a fight call was attacked by three men when he tried to arrest one of them.
Police said Cpl. James Masotto was the only officer available to respond to the call in the 200 block of Oak Way at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
When he arrived on Oak Way, there was no fight under way, but Masotto arrested Billy Taylor, 28, of 418 Andrew St., because Taylor was being very loud and using profanity.
Taylor's father, Chester, 59, of the same address, and Joey C. Arbuckle, 35, of Parke Drive, Hermitage, intervened and attacked Masotto, police said.
The three men knocked Masotto to the ground, punching and kicking him, police said.
Masotto got back to his feet and broke free and Billy Taylor ran off. Masotto chased him to Taylor's nearby residence and followed him inside, again placing him in custody.
What happened next
When they came out of the house, Chester Taylor and Arbuckle were waiting for them and attacked Masotto again, police said, adding that Billy Taylor again joined in the assault.
At that point, backup units from Sharon and Brookfield Township arrived and all three men were arrested. They were held overnight for arraignment on assault and other charges.
Billy Taylor is charged with aggravated assault, escape, resisting arrest and criminal conspiracy.
Chester Taylor and Arbuckle are both charged with aggravated assault, hindering apprehension and criminal conspiracy.
Police said Masotto suffered a shoulder injury in the assault and was seeking medical treatment but wasn't hospitalized.
