Hearing is set for baby sitter

GIRARD -- A preliminary hearing is scheduled for next Wednesday for a 20-year-old Youngstown man who faces two counts of child endangering.
Gary McClellan, of Oakleigh Avenue, is being held in the Trumbull County Jail, unable to post a $30,000 bond set Tuesday in municipal court.
He also faces one count each of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
His friend, Jamie L. Nicholson, 18, of 23 Maple Ave., Girard, faces two counts of child endangering. She was released on her own recognizance. No preliminary hearing was scheduled for her.
Nicholson is the mother of 1- and 2-year-old boys.
Police were called to Nicholson's apartment Monday night after the landlord heard loud noises coming from inside.
Police reported that inside the apartment, they found one of Nicholson's boys wearing a dirty diaper in a closet. There was no milk for the children, but there were empty beer cans on the floor, police said.
Nicholson was at work at the time, but McClellan was there.
Detective John Norman said the boys are with relatives of their mother's.
