HARTFORD, Conn. -- Diana Taurasi scored 24 points, and Connecticut withstood late pressure from Rutgers to extend the nation's longest winning streak to 52 games. Taurasi also had seven rebounds as the Huskies (13-0) won the Big East Conference opener for both to move within two victories of Louisiana Tech's record. The Lady Techsters won 54 in a row from 1980-82. Cappie Pondexter scored 16 of her 23 points in the second half as Rutgers (6-4) cut a 16-point deficit to four.
No. 4 Kansas St. 88, Kansas 49
LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Nicole Ohlde had 18 points and 11 rebounds as Kansas State extended Kansas' Big 12 Conference losing streak to 17 games. Kendra Wecker hit all five of her 3-point tries in the conference opener for both teams and finished with 18 points as the Wildcats (14-1) won their ninth straight game. Laurie Koehn hit four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points for Kansas State. Tamara Ransburg scored 13 points for Kansas (7-5), which had won three straight.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Plenette Pierson scored 17 of her 25 points as Texas Tech built a 20-point halftime lead. Texas Tech (12-1) got 20 points from Jia Perkins. Lynn Classen had 13 points for Texas A & amp;M (7-5) in its third straight loss.
No. 16 Notre Dame 66, West Virginia 59
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. -- Le'Tania Severe scored a season-high 21 points, and led Notre Dame's big second-half comeback that ended West Virginia's' season-opening 10-game winning streak. Severe scored 14 points in the second half, and Alicia Ratay had 12 of her 14 after the break as the Irish (9-3) erased a 14-point deficit in the teams' Big East Conference opener. Kate Bulger, second to Connecticut's Swin Cash in Big East scoring last season, led West Virginia with 22 points.
No. 19 Wisconsin-Green Bay 58,Marquette 47
MILWAUKEE -- Kristy Loiselle scored 18 points, and Wisconsin-Green Bay used two second-half runs to extend its winning streak to six games. Green Bay (12-2), trailing 28-26 early in the second half, sandwiched 9-0 and 8-0 runs around an 8-0 spurt by Marquette (8-4) to forge ahead 43-33 with 8:57 to play. Rachel Klug scored 15 points for Marquette.

AUSTIN, Texas -- Stacy Stephens had 14 points and 10 rebounds as Texas outscored Oklahoma State 40-12 in the paint. The Longhorns (8-4) held Oklahoma State without a basket for the final 5:57 and turned 23 turnovers into 28 points. Trisha Skibbe led Oklahoma State (4-8) with 20 points, making 8-of-12 from the field and 3-of-5 free throws.

BOULDER, Colo. -- Freshman Amber Metoyer scored Colorado's last seven points, including a clinching basket with 1.5 seconds remaining. Colorado (11-1) trailed 58-47 with 7:39 remaining, but outscored Iowa State 17-5 the rest of the way for its eighth straight victory. Metoyer had nine of her 13 points during that stretch. Lindsey Wilson scored 24 points for the Cyclones (5-7).
