Davidson keys Ursuline past Granville

CLEVELAND -- Courtney Davidson scored a career-high 40 points Sunday as the Ursuline High girls basketball team defeated Granville 59-43 in the Greater Cleveland Classic at the Cleveland State Convocation Center.
The junior guard made 16-of-27 shots from the field, including 7-of-12 from 3-point range, and added six rebounds. Davidson's previous high was 38, which she reached twice.
Camela Barnette grabbed five rebounds for the Irish (10-0), who will play host to unbeaten Boardman in a key Steel Valley Conference game Thursday.
Katelin Beck scored 14 points to lead Granville (9-3).
West Branch 45, Brooklyn 37
CLEVELAND -- Victoria Arndt scored 21 points and Amber Metzger added 11 to lead West Branch (10-1) at the CSU Holiday Cage Classic.
Sarah Douglas led Brooklyn (9-1) with 12 points.
