GIRARD
Dec. 28
Threats: A woman in the 1000 block of Patricia Drive reported her former husband called her from out of state threatening to kill her.
Assault: A woman in the 400 block of Iowa Avenue reported two of her children and their friend were assaulted by several juveniles while the group was sled riding in the 400 block of Idaho Avenue.
Dec. 30
Vandalism: Someone used a brick to break a vehicle's back window and crack its windshield in the 400 block of East Kline Street.
Theft: Police arrested a 66-year-old Girard woman on a theft charge after a bottle of vodka was stolen from Sami Quick Stop, 230 N. State St.
LIBERTY
Dec. 23
Auto theft: A 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass was stolen from the Radio Shack parking lot, 3551 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A loss-prevention manager for Radio Shack called police after an employee sold $200 worth of merchandise and the sale was suspiciously voided.
Burglary: Someone broke into a residence in the 30 block of James Lane and stole a 32-inch TV and a DVD/compact-disc player.
Dec. 24
Arrests: After investigating an accident at Super 8 Motel, 4250 Belmont Ave., police arrested a truck driver in a room on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. After determining a 41-year-old Youngstown woman was in the room illegally, she was charged with criminal trespass and resisting arrest when police say she refused to cooperate. Also, a 40-year-old Poland man was arrested on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a suspected crack pipe and other suspected drug paraphernalia in the room.
Warrant: After running a vehicle registration check, police arrested a 40-year-old Youngstown man on a charge of passing bad checks.
Dec. 25
Assault: A Warren woman reported her boyfriend shoved her by the neck into a wall after they argued at his residence in the 400 block of Arbor Circle.
Dec. 27
Domestic violence: A 38-year-old Youngstown man was arrested on a domestic violence charge after his girlfriend alleged they argued about her seeing her family, and he threatened to harm the victim upon her return.
Theft, criminal damaging: An AM-FM CD stereo system was removed from a vehicle in the 1200 block of Trumbull Avenue. The car had its passenger-side door window broken and its dashboard damaged.
Bad checks: An employee at Uniforms Inc., 3107 Belmont Ave., reported receiving three checks totaling $212.58, all drawn on a closed account.

Burglary: A man called police after someone entered the garage to a vacant house in the 1700 block of Lucretia Drive and removed about $300 worth of household items.
Auto theft: A 1998 Mercedes MI 320 was stolen from the parking lot at Denny's restaurant, 4020 Belmont Ave.

Vandalism: A man in the 200 block of Parish Avenue reported someone drove a vehicle through his front yard.

Identity theft: A woman in the 200 block of Jackson Street alleged her sister used the victim's Social Security number to obtain phone service.
Dec. 27
Identity theft: A man in the 200 block of Jacobs Road reported someone fraudulently used his wife's name to open a telephone account.
Dec. 28
Theft: A man in the 600 block of Dresden Drive reported various items were removed from his vehicle.
Bad check: An employee at Hubbard Coal and Supply Inc., 74 Jacobs Road, reported receiving a check drawn on a closed account.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a Mackey Street woman and charged her with domestic violence after her husband reported being the victim of domestic violence.

Theft: A man in the 30 block of Caroline Street reported several spotlights were removed from his front yard.
Criminal mischief: Someone used crime scene tape to obscure some stop signs near Hager and Clingan streets.
