MASONIC Sunrise Chapter 458 installs 2003 officers



GIRARD -- Sunrise Chapter 458, Order of Eastern Star, met Dec. 5 at Girard Masonic Temple where Mildred Beck and Thomas Mohn were installed as 2003 worthy matron and worthy patron, respectively.
Also installed were Janet Baumann, associate matron; Joseph Tufaro, associate patron; Patrick C. Pinney, secretary; John C. Beck, treasurer; Joy Ann Leavy, associate conductress; Gretchen Reed, chaplain; Maria Snyder, marshal; Margaret Best, organist; Sandra Crew, Adah; Jean Collins, Ruth; Mary Ann Collins, Esther; Dorothea Cochrane, Martha; Diane Schuller, Electa; Lucille Boles, warder; and Sue Boles, sentinel.
Pages are Lois Ridge, Jane Bell, Pat Boles and Doris Padgitt. Trustees are Lucille Boles, Frederick McWilliams and Jean Collins.
Leading the installation team were Betty Dawn Hardman, worthy grand matron, and Bruce Hardman, past patron of Belpre Chapter 541. Other installing officers were Jasmine Gross, installing marshal; Lois Yost, installing chaplain; and William Westover Jr., installing organist. Host in the East was Frederick McWilliams, past patron, who assisted registering guests along with Donna McWilliams and Jane Bell.
Special guests were Carolyn McCahan, past grand matron; Bruce Hansford, past grand patron; Robert Palmer, associate grand patron; Sarah Paxson, deputy grand matron of District 2; and Iris Palmer and Ruth West, grand representatives to California and District of Columbia.
A reception followed the installation and was served by officers and members of Ida McKinley Chapter 229, Niles.
The theme for the year is "Reflections: Faith, Family, Friends." The organization's emblem is the candle; motto is "Forever Rely on God"; and flower is the lily of the valley with wheat.
Mrs. Beck and her husband, John, live in Beaver Falls, Pa., and are former Girard residents. Mohn and his wife, Shirley, live in Liberty Township.
