Kiki Cohen's 15 points help Bethany to attain 10th win



WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Junior center Kelley Richardson of Follansbee, W.Va., scored 24 points Friday as Bethany College came away with a 77-59 victory over Catholic (D.C.) University.
The Bethany College defense held Catholic (D.C.) University to 36 percent shooting and forced 27 turnovers.
The win was Bethany's fourth in a row and raised its record to 10-2 overall, while Catholic fell to 3-4.
Senior guard Kiki Cohen, a graduate of Liberty High School, hit five 3-pointers and tallied 15 points for the Bison, and sophomore guard Nikki Babik delivered 12 markers in the win.
Wittenberg 91, Hiram 42
HIRAM -- Fifteen players scored points for Wittenberg (6-4, 1-0 North Coast Athletic Conference), the defending league champion.
Terra Roane hit for 11 points for Hiram (1-8, 0-2). The Tigers had more rebounds, 49-17.
Gettysburg 84, Westminster 71
GETTYSBURG, Pa. -- Jay Hodge shot 11-for 14 and scored 29 points for the winners (7-3) in the first round of the Days Inn Classic.
Ashley Kenney led the Titans (3-6) with 20 points.

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- Jon English scored 15 points and Brian Loftus added 13 more as Elizabethtown College defeated Grove City 77-52 in the first round of the Casa Mia Tournament.
Nate Maurer scored 11 points and Jeb Schreiber scored 10 points for Grove City (7-2).
Olivet Nazarene 74, Geneva 69
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Jeremy Riddle scored 19 points for Olivet Nazarene (7-9) in the first round of its tournament. Terrence Ward fired in 16 points for Geneva (7-6) which will meet Shorter College today.
