The Lady Tigers (11-0) won their first 14 games in the 1996-1997 season. The Lady Eagles (4-6) have lost four in a row and six of their past seven games.
Wendlyn Jones added 15 points for LSU, and Seimone Augustus scored 12. Emily Britt and Vilma Grismanauskaite paced North Texas with 10 points each.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Erika Valek matched a season high with 23 points, Beth Jones added 15 and Lindsey Hicks 14. They combined to shoot 18-for-33 and scored 28 of their points in the second half while leading a decisive 10-2 run.
The Boilermakers (10-1) needed that after a four-point halftime lead turned into a one-point deficit early in the second half.
Kelly Nadeau, who led Tulane (8-3) with 14 points, quickly hit three 3-pointers, and Muci Harris added one. That gave the Green Wave a 42-41 lead four minutes into the second half.
