BIG TEN/HORIZON Layoff doesn't hurt Wisconsin



Michigan evened its record with its sixth straight win.
PHILADELPHIA -- A 10-day layoff didn't hurt the Wisconsin offense.
Devin Harris scored 23 points, one of four double-figure scorers, and the Badgers hit 24 of 41 shots in an 80-67 victory over Temple Thursday night.
The Badgers made 9 of 18 three point shots, in scoring the most points by an opponent at Temple's Liacourus Center.
Harris scored 15 points in the first half against Temple's matchup zone, making 5 of 8 three-point shots.
The Owls were out-rebounded 31-22.
Michigan 74, San Francisco 64
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- After losing its first six games, the Michigan Wolverines evened their record Thursday night with their sixth consecutive win.
Daniel Horton scored 17 points and LaVell Blanchard added 15 for the Wolverines.
San Francisco (4-8) has now lost two in a row. The Dons were led in scoring by John Cox with 16 points and Shamell Stallworth with 13.
Penn State 76, Robert Morris 59
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Brandon Watkins tied a career high with 24 points for Penn State.
Penn State (4-6) went on a 26-6 run over the first nine minutes of the second half to push its lead to 59-32 with 10:55 left.
The 59 points were a season-low for Robert Morris (3-5), which came into the game shooting just over 50 percent from the floor.
Jan Jagla had his fifth double-double at Penn State with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Robert Morris was led by Maurice Carter, who had 20 points and three assists.
Horizon LeagueCleveland St. 66, Wis.-Green Bay 55
CLEVELAND -- Jermaine Robinson scored 18 points and Mobido Niakate added 15 to lead Cleveland State.
Brandon Hansen paced Wisconsin-Green Bay with 17 points and Greg Babcock, in a reserve role, scored 16 points and took in 14 rebounds.
It was the conference opener for Cleveland State (6-7). The Phoenix (5-8) have lost both their conference games.
Wisc.-Milwaukee 73,Detroit Mercy 72
DETROIT - Jason Frederick scored a game-high 23 points and Clay Tucker added 17 to lead Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
With 46.1 seconds remaining, Frederick hit a pair of free throws to seal the win for Milwaukee (10-3, 2-0 Horizon League). The Titans dropped to 5-5, 0-1 in conference play.
Detroit Mercy was led by Elijah Warren, who scored 20 points, while Terrell Riggs had 17 and Willie Green had 18, all in the second half.
